Sudden fascination with balloons. I don't know what it is about really. LOL. But I guess every day God gives me the strength and patience to carry on. I'm glad I can cast all my worries on him, and he who leads me never lets go of me. I guess I took God for granted. All those things he did for me when I least expected it. After the Saturday's anointing service, I have really set aside time for God. And yes I know he is with me always because I always experience the best.
I'm happy that Ian has found someone for himself. LOL. Well apart from that, Ian is my best msn buddy now. He was my first pen pal and I'm glad that nowadays we have loads to talk about. Furthermore, I get to practice my french with him. LOL. Merci Ian.
My french class today was really awesome! I think I managed to please Mosieur Yannick with my french. Basically I answered most of his questions and he was like "Tres Bien". Haha. I like french alot. LOL. Diviya & Nandhu was cracking me up, and then Nandhu started picking on me. I mean, he pretended to pick on me, because he wasn't good at it. Well he is a good guy, so such things doesn't come easy to him like the tard in my class. Haha. Well yeah, I was really paying attention to Mosieur Yannick. I guess his lessons are less tiresome and his "hot" factor gets me hooked on him. Haha.
Today was my presentation for that project thingy. Well we were the 3rd group to present and I tell you, I think we really nailed it. Reason being, the other groups weren't as lively as us. They didn't have nice slides like ours and yeah, bascially the rest of the class was noisy when they presented. And when it was our turn, you should see the silence! And when it was Q&A session, practically everyone didn't say anything until they were prompted by the teacher. Haha. Good signs eh. Well yeah, I was super formal la. And my new shoes were giving me so much pain and all. But yeah, I still lived to tell the tale. Haha. Safi, wore a tie? Um, I don't think it really went well with the rest of the outfit. Jansen & Shou Xian were wearing formal top with jeans. And I tell you, these 2 guys looked so charming and cute. LOL. I'm not kidding ok, they finally look like men! Safi, no need to say la, already look so mature, but mind like some secondary school kid. Hais. But I should commend him on the slides, for that effort he put into it by skipping lectures, classes and all just so that he could finish it. So yeah, he deserves quite a lot of credit. I still hate him! Haha.
Hmm, I haven't done my time table. I should start soon. I think I'll do one for the weekend so that I would be able to finish all the assignments for the next whole week. Also few more projects left.
So I think I'll be able to finish them soon.
I wanted to talk about my time management workshop that was held yesterday. Well some basic facts on time management is we all waste time and we cannot change time. Time is the important resource of mankind and we cannot do anything to increase the quantity of time. We can only steward time, we can do anything but we cannot to everything. We all PROCRASTINATE.
I was struck at the procrastination part. Reason being, I had no idea what it meant. LOL. Many times I came across that word, especially at Fathiah's blog. LOL. And I never bothered to look up the meaning of it till today.
Procrastinate:
1.To defer action; delay: to procrastinate until an opportunity is lost. 2.To put off till another day or time; defer; delay. 3.To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness. 4.To postpone or delay needlessly.
There you have it! And that is what procrastination means. So tell me who hasn't be procrastinating? Everyone has.
Solution?? Become time conscious. We did a small exercise in which we wrote down whatever we did in one whole week from the morning to night, monday to sunday. (Which brings us to our second step: make a personal time log.) And then we grouped all those that is simply wasting time. (Thirdly: Identitfy and eliminate time wasters) From there we arranged our activities from the most important. (Fourthly : Place a value on each activity. Fifth: Be result oriented, rather than activity-oriented. Sixth: Understand the value of planning. Seventh: Stay on the agenda. Eighth: Keep responsibility where it belongs. Ninth: Access your energy level and temeperament.) This is where you actually do the most important thing. Find out if you are a morning person, night person or day person. So doing the most important things during that time, gives you the highest level of excellence. (Tenth: Develop systems for regular task and simplify everything. Eleventh: Do the project right the first time. Twelfth: Place deadlines on yourself. Finally: Delegate wisely.)
So yeah, I thought it would be great to share these skills that I learned with you people. I hope you find it useful just the way I did. Well hope you guys spend time wisely. Every minute counts.
Besides dealing with time, I have a weakness. Dealing with money. I seriously have to learn to save money and use my $50 allowance per week wisely. So yeah, I think I can control myself. Today after school, me and Salina were coming out and we saw the Ice-Cream man. I had the urge to buy ice-cream, but then I remembered that there is ice-cream at home so I said I won't get it. But then, when I got home, I didn't even eat the ice-cream. LOL.
Well tomorrow is a day I'm looking forward to. Not only because its Friday, but because once I'm done with school tomorrow, I'm going to meet my bestie! Yay! LOL. Then after that later at night, I and Aunty Padma would be going to some seminar. I have no idea what it is about, but Aunty encouraged me to join her, so why not? Nothing to loose and besides, its just in Yishun. So maybe tomorrow there will be new revelation added to my already many revelations. Haha. I bet there will be one or two things that is going to help me in my spiritual life.
I'm really turning towards God nowadays and I'm glad I am. I guess now I can stand no where without him. I know he has a purpose for me in my life. He has a will for me. And there is a reason I am where I am today.
