Oh boy oh boy! Presenting just seems like a simple thing to do. But wait till you actually go into the dept of it. I mean, we all have done our presentations in secondary school and stuff. But in poly, things are going to be very different. They aren't very simple and you'd be judged based on many things. You may have awesome slides, but without your solid presentation, there are really nothing much. And you might have some junk on your slides, and with your presentation, you'd probably be on top of the rest, But just to be on the safe side and have a balance, its better to have awesome stuff, both on the slides and in you. Haha.
Which brings me to today's activity. I met Salina for our Presentation Skills Bootcamp. Well we thought we'd be the only 2 from our class, but apparently, Li hui, Weiling and Jin ling made it too. There was supposed to be more than those who came, in my group, there were 8 of us. Well firstly we had a short talk on the importance of effective presentations. I totally agree agree that the talk was of super high entertainment value. LOL. After that we got broke off with out own group from that large group, which I guess had about 60 students max. Then we went on with out Mentor and we watched one slide show on the do's and the don'ts. After which we got into groups of 4. So in my group, we had salina and 2 other guys who happened to be in IT0902, the next class after ours and we clicked right away. We had to do a topic for discussion and we were pondering. The guys thought about blogging and we would have gone with it, but we got stuck on certain procedures, so we decided to go for the usual boring environmental issue in which we talked about climate change. I seriously can admit, that i knew nothing about climate change even after working on it. LOL. Mainly I did on an individual's responsibility to prevent climate change. well I think I did a good job of it, except it was a bit too wordy. I mean whose wasn't. LOL. So then we went for lunch, and my lunch was absolutely affordable. LOL. Then we went to the computer lab with my groupies and we worked on our slides. LOL. Then once we were done, we had to present it into the main group, which is the other 4 girls and our mentor who gave us useful feedback and awesome comments. LOL. Don't feedback and comments mean the same thing? Anyway I felt I was back in secondary school doing english summary. It was almost the same, I thank Mrs.Azwiza for going through that then. LOL. I really didn't get the chance to use it then, but I am sure that I'll use it more often that you think.
Well everything is oveer. Now I am at the library slacking, waiting for Shindhu to meet me. We'll be going to SSC to do some final shopping for her. LOL. I guess not even freshmen have that much trouble, but she does. She really needs more formal wear for her presentation. After that we'll have to come back to SP so that I can bring my grandmother to the clinic to get her eye checked. Gosh when you get all, so many things to be done right? First my mum told me to bring her to the dentist, then she had trouble walking, and now her eyes! I can't wait to get away from all these nonsense, and the only way out of this, is school. I think I might start liking going back to school. LOL. I miss my classmates.
Speaking of that, today is my last weekday of freedom.... Soon after my weekdays will be spent by dating my books. LOL. Dating reminds me... I'm missing someone... Well he might just irritate me, but I rarely get to see him except on weekends thanks to the time difference. Oh and PK has been MIA online last night. I hope that he is alive atleast. LOL. Well Shindhu made it here finally. GTG humans. Miss me till my next post.
